Talking God:
Correlations in Black/Jewish Struggles
Sunday, June 6, 7 PM ET
online through Zoom and Facebook
Recently, during some vigils and rallies commemorating George Floyd’s first year death anniversary, an unfortunate connection was made to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We will be discussing the right and wrong correlations between the Black and Jewish struggles.
We will host our good friend, Rev. Jerria CurDaun Martin, who we met on
our tour of the “Holy Lands of America” in her native Selma, AL.
Jerria CurDaun Martin is a native of Selma Alabama. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in English from Stillman College in 2010, and a 2009 graduate of the Leading Edge Institute of Alabama.
She received the Dr. Martin L. King Realizing the Dream “Mountain Top Award” in 2010 from the University of Alabama, Shelton State Community College and Stillman College in her senior year at Stillman College.
Jerria is a 2013 graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey where she received a Master of Divinity. An ordained Baptist minister, Miss Martin was the first woman of color to serve as President of the Student Government Association at Princeton Theological Seminary. She received two of the highest honors of her graduating class, the Friars Club Award and the Samuel Blizzard Award for excellence in Religion and Society.
Jerria currently serves as the Executive Director of Circle of Hope Ministries and an adjunct Religion Instructor at Wallace Community College in Selma. Jerria most recently founded the “Circle of Hope”.
