Monday, Oct 27th

Arrival in Rome.

Visit to Jewish and Christian catacombs,

Trastevere Ghetto Jewish community (The Jewish community in Trastevere, a neighborhood in

Rome, has one of the oldest continuous Jewish presences in the

world, dating back to the 1st century BCE).

Visit St. Paul Via Appia

Antica (According to tradition and the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 28),

St. Paul entered Rome via the Via Appia around 60 AD as a prisoner

to stand trial before Caesar).

Tuesday, Oct 28th

60th Anniversary of Nostra Aetate.

(Nostra Aetate is the Declaration on the Relation of the Church with

Non-Christian Religions. It’s a groundbreaking document in Catholic

History of interreligious relations, which allowed us to walk together today.)

Visit to Piazza Navona.

Wednesday, Oct 29th

Papal Audience in the Vatican.

Visit to the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel.

Flight to Tel Aviv (booked individually).

Thursday, Oct 30th  

Arrival in Israel.

Drive to Mt. Scopus for a Jerusalem sunrise 5:53

Afternoon visit to Saxum – a multimedia visitor center and pilgrim

resource created by the Opus Dei–affiliated Saxum International

Foundation. It offers a historical, geographical, and spiritual

overview of the life of Jesus in the broader context of Jewish history.

Friday, Oct 31st

Drive to Jaffa Gate and visit the Jewish Quarter.

Visit Temple Institute with replicas of articles from the

Second Temple.

Walk in the amazing Western Wall Tunnels.

Follow the Way of the Cross – Via Dolorosa – and end at the Holy Sepulcher Church

for Mass.

Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel – Western Wall.

Shabbat Nov 1st

Shabbat morning Services at the Great Synagogue.

Shabbat lunch at the hotel 

Walking tour of Rehavia neighborhood, along the Prime Minister’s House and the

President’s House.

Free time. Dinner on your own.

Sunday, Nov 2nd

Visit Mount of Olives Church of Ascension and take pictures from the most stunning point

overlooking the city of Jerusalem.

Descent downhill through Dominus Flevit church

Church of All Nations in Gethsemane and see olive trees from Jesus time.

(Meet US Ambassador Huckabee at the embassy?)

Drive to Bethlehem for Middle Easter lunch.

Celebrate mass at the Church of Nativity

If time permits stop for a visit at Rachel’s Tomb

Monday, Nov 3rd

 Visi the City of David.

Walk to the Temple Mount via The Pilgrims Way.

Visit David’s Tomb at Mt. Zion and St. Peter at Gallicantu.

Tour of Yad Vashem – Holocaust Museum.

Drive from Jerusalem to Jaffa for the beautiful overlook of the Mediterranean Sea and Tel Aviv.

Tuesday, Nov 4th

Enjoy a walking tour of Israeli Architecture and major sites of Tel Aviv.

Independence Hall where the Independence declaration was signed.

Lunch on your own at the famous Carmel Market

Visit Nachlat Binyamin artists market

Visit Rabin’s Square for 30th anniversary of Assassination.

Walk to Hostages Square and Dizengoff Street area.

Wednesday, Nov 5th

Drive to Caesarea by the Sea, the Roman port city

built by King Herod.

Drive to Haifa and the Carmel Mountain for a view of the bay from the amazing

Baha’i Gardens.

Visit the Mujraka – the site of Elija’s Battle with the Baal false

prophets.

Continue to Nazareth Village and go back in time 2,000 years.

Mass at the Church of Annunciation and visit Carpentry of Joseph.

Stop at the Tomb of Maimonides on our way to the Sea of Galilee hotel.

Thursday, Nov 6th

 Start the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

Visit Capernaum, and the synagogue where Jesus preached.

Mass at Primacy of Peter and visit the Mount of Beatitudes.

We drive to old Tzfat to visit the Ari and Karo synagogues and Kabbalah

Artists.

End the day with an interfaith event at the 2,000-year-old synagogue in recently excavated Magdala.

Friday, Nov 7th

 Drive south through the Jordan Valley

Dip in the Baptismal Site at Qasr Al-Yahud – the site where the Israelites cross into the land of Israel, Elijiah went up to heaven, and where St. John baptized Jesus.

Visit the Masada fortress where a Jewish community committed a group suicide to avoid

falling into Roman hands.

On the way to Eilat, stop for a dip in the Dead Sea – God’s gift to your skin.

Saturday, Nov 8th

Enjoy a free day in the beautiful Red Sea resort city.

Lunch included at the hotel. Dinner on your own.

Sunday, Nov 9th

“From Egypt to Rehoboth” 

We begin our last day at the Egyptian border.

Drive north through Mitzpeh Ramon overlooking the biggest crater in the world.

Stop at the Nova Party memorial site where so many young Israelis were murdered by Hamas on Oct 7, 2023.

We end our visiting day in Rehoboth – Rabbi Gadi’s home town – with a visit at the

Weizmann Institute and a tour of the Yemenite Museum.

We bid Farewell with a festive dinner.
