Father Roy Tvrdik leads parishioners and friends of Our Lady of Ostrabrama RC church in lessons and discussions on the history of the Catholic Church. This week Father Roy begins a lesson on the English Reformation in “The History of the Church, A Complete Course”. This week we discuss the suffering of the Irish Catholics during the English Reformation. We also learn about King Henry VIII and his request to the Vatican for an annulment. Father Roy takes this time to explain the Church’s current teaching on annulments. We end by learning about Cardinal Wolsey and his role in King Henry VIII annulment request.
